Polybiotics SolutionA patented product in which underground plastic products, such as monitoring wells and drains, are broken down in a controlled way by micro-organisms.

Millions of metres of plastic pipes are used in the soil worldwide. Eventually these pipes, including pipes made of biopolymers, fragment into microplastics that end up in our environment and drinking water.
To do something about this, we founded the company Polybiotics Solutions together with P&J Milieu and FairFusion. There we develop and produce technology in which microbes break the material down into substances that are harmless to the environment.
The photos show the production, and the largest pipe made of biopolymers with the microbes we produced. It was used for a project for ProRail, the Dutch railway infrastructure company.
