MUDTRAPMUDTRAP is a patented sediment trap: passing sediment is captured and pumped out of the canal or river, which also removes phosphates.

We work together with MHWaterzaken on this. In Lunteren a MUDTRAP has been installed that captures all passing sediment. Downstream, the phosphate level is lower and the water quality is better.
In Delft we installed a mini MUDTRAP in the form of a work of art: two sinking hippos. Are the hippos sinking? Then it is time to pump out the sediment.
Alongside it, an information campaign was started for primary school children, to explain how important water is to us.
